On Lånan, 30 kilometres further out to sea from Vega, the tradition of Eider duck down harvesting is being preserved. Twice weekly during the summer months, a shuttle boat stops at the tiny, down-harvesting island. The bird guardians offer visitors guided tours, storytelling and a light meal.
